Program management

The UBC Sustainability Hub manages UBC's Campus as a Living Lab. We support existing programs and projects, develop opportunities for new projects and collaborations, facilitate partnerships and capacity building, and expand knowledge mobilization and dissemination.

With a background in architecture and 14 years of experience at UBC, Angelique brings a design approach and broad institutional knowledge to the creation and innovation of sustainability and climate action at the university.

Angelique was previously the Director of Urban Innovation Research, leading a portfolio of programs to catalyze and advance innovative research and interdisciplinary collaborations on- and off-campus. In this role, she was actively involved in a number of strategic projects including the research and knowledge mobilization program for Brock Commons Tallwood House, which led to changes in mass timber building policy, and the development of the annual Campus as a Living Lab Fund Competition at both the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses. 

Angelique holds a Master of Architecture from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan, and has professional experience in firms in both Canada and the United States. She is a certified Project Management Professional and a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialization in Building Design and Construction. She is active in educational and professional organizations including the Canada Green Building Council and the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitats.

Anthony contributes to diverse initiatives, programs and projects that leverage university infrastructure for research, learning and knowledge transfer. 

Anthony holds a Ph.D. and MASc in Mechanical Engineering from UBC and is a registered professional engineer. Prior to joining the Sustainability Hub, he managed a UBC industry partnership program driving strategy, execution and stakeholder relationships to foster technological innovations on sustainability.

Anthony's background includes roles as a senior engineer and project manager at FPInnovations, where the team successfully delivered several key smart manufacturing R&D projects in forestry. Anthony is a passionate sports enthusiast and a firm believer of lifelong learning, staying curious and embracing challenges in work and life.

Lauren is a fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the UBC Sauder School of Business, specializing in Marketing with a concentration in Sustainability & Social Impact. Passionate about making sustainability more accessible and integrated into everyday life, she is excited to contribute to the Campus as a Living Lab team. Outside of her studies and work, Lauren enjoys travelling, reading, and spending time outdoors.

UBC CLL Community of Practice

A shared space to connect people, projects, and practices across UBC’s living lab ecosystem

The UBC CLL Community of Practice is a shared space for UBC faculty and staff to connect, share, and learn across UBC’s living lab ecosystem. Launched in April 2026, it is UBC’s latest Campus as a Living Lab community development effort, bringing practitioners together to build collaboration, exchange knowledge, and help shape shared priorities for future living lab activities.
